Daycare termination

I received a text from my daycare provider stating she will no longer watch kids. This being Friday I am scrambling to find someone who can provide the service. Aren't they required to give some sort of a timeframe to find another service? The way is sits right now I will have to miss work

Whether they have to give notice would likely depend on any written contract you have with them. As frustrating as it is for you, I wouldn't want anybody watching my kids that didn't want to, especially if you have no idea why they're getting out of the business like, was their license taken or did Uncle Chester just finish his sentence for child molestation and move in with them?
