Either Clyde McPhatter or Ben E. King of the Drifters. They were the best lead singers (there have been many over the years) of the best R & B group of all time.
Audio recording wasn't great back in those days but the songs had a tune, the music was all made by people and it made you feel good; something the world could use more of today.
