How do you give a guy a hint that you like him before its too late?

So there's this guy... he's a football player and I am in band , not a band nerd or geek or whatever I just like it and I love music. Anyway we had this class together and he would sometimes sit next to me if the seat was empty or leave his friends to come talk to me when i'm alone ,he gets my name wrong on purpose and now made up a nick name for me , when I walk in the door before class he would sometimes stop and ask me for a password, he stares at me sometimes and looks away when I look at him and he always smiles at me when I see him , so it kinda sounds like he likes me, but I cant be sure. But yea we never really have anything to talk about and I really really really like him and I don't know how to let him know. Its summer now and I feel like this chance is fading fast , but I don't know what to say because I want to hang out or something but i'm too nervous...help?

Oh and btw now that its summer our only communication is facebook :/ yea I know pathetic!...so please help?

You don't have to issue an official proclamation that you like him. :-) Just tell him you're bored with the Summer, you miss his funny stuff and invite him to hang out with you. If he's interested, that's all it will take. If he goes for it, see if you can exchange telephone numbers to keep in touch in a more private way.

well to give a guy a hint that u like him , spend with him some time to identify ur personality , either claims to be further deepened in your knowledge , invite him to ur house and chat a bitt let him know u more and do the same as him.

I would say just tell him that you like him and that you want to spend time with him. I know it's very straight forward but being a teenage boy myself, I know I'd like it that way because it takes out the guess work and if he feels the same way about you then BOOM being straight forward would definitely spark something.

yeah I agree with scottjohnson i'm a 16 year old and I feel like if a girl would tell you how they really feel it would be a lot better, but I can see how hard it is because I have tried to do it before and it takes courage. Just ask him to hang out, and maybe let it slip to one of your mutual friends that you like him, thats how I got a girlfriend once, and then afterwards, we were walking and I was too nervous to kiss her so she just kissed me without warning and I loved it. Girls being up front makes a guy love them for it, I did, and if he is anything like most guys, he will too.
