If your school's system works like most, you would need administrative access to the server the computer is connected to. That's where the blocking is controlled. Most of them allow specific approved sites and reject all others. That would obviously include your proxy server if you made one. Unless you have the ability to log on to a different wireless router outside the school system, it wouldn't work. If you have that ability, you wouldn't need your own proxy. I doubt a school computer would have permissions set to allow any connection except theirs though.
its on a laptop edge 11 lenovo is ther any way to make my own on or off of the internet see I only have acces to internet at school
thanx for all of ur help too rob ur a life saver
Most school systems are a lot of computers connected to one central proxy server. Suppose you attempt to log onto Facebook. The link you requested goes to the central computer, it scans the list of approved sites and, if Facebook isn't on the list, you can't connect. No matter what you do to the laptop, it won't get you past the central computer. You could make your own proxy server but unless you can get it on the school's approved list, it simply won't work.
All of the above is based on the assumption that your school's system works like most of them.
