Who makes the decisions for Medicare Regulations? Is it a board?

Does the board have an agenda with items that they vote on? Or is it that the congress passes a general law and then someone who? gets to decide all the details? Some of the details are totally impractical and not helpful to patients. I have some suggestions. What can be done about it?

Medicare is administered by The Dept of Health and human Services (HHS) Center for Medicare in Baltimore. As with most other legislation, Congress passes a law that establishes guidelines and sometimes even funding, then the Administrative branch develops the policies to put the will of Congress into motion. If your ideas affect how the current law is administered contact Medicare at the address below. If it is beyond the current law, contact your senator and congressperson.

It's great that you are taking an interest. They need all of the good ideas they can get.
