What should I do?

the guy I like knows I like him now his friends are saying that I should ask him out because he likes me but they are the popular boys so they could be lying to crush me so what should I do?

Never get your information about someone you like from "Friends." If you and the guy can't communicate with each other well enough for one of you to ask the other out then let it cook until you can. Relationships are about two people communicating with each other on a one-on-one basis. Get your friends involved and it's not going anywhere.

Give some more time hopefully with time you will understand what to do

i don't thing ther lieying nd why they should be ? your not from the hotest or famoust girls at your school nd if not ther is no problem You'll have to know him more and spend some time with him ,your relactionship will be Evolve and some day he will ask you out maybe to fall in love with you in live ther is meny surprise you get me ;)

I would never listen to he say, she say stuff. Maybe if you are too scared to ask him yourself maybe you should get one of your CLOSE friends to ask him. If he says he doesnt like you then no harm done. But if says he does then I think that you should take the chance and ask him out. But if you do have one of your friends do it make sure they are a good friend and not someone that would ly to you.
