Is owning a bullet dangerous without having a gun?

So I bought a bullet from this guy for a dollar and I just want to know if just owning a bullet without a gun is dangerous

Keep it far from heat, fire, lighters, fireworks... everything and anything at all that could set it off.

Thanks
I deleted the part that Rob rightfully challenged. DO KEEP IT FROM HEAT EXTREMES or anything that could discharge it. Thought I'd add this note just to be abundantly clear.
Never throw a bullet. If it lands on the butt end, the impact will discharge it the same as a firing pin. Also be aware that a bullet outside a weapon behaves much differently than when discharged in a weapon. Inside the weapon only the core is projected out of the barrel when discharged. When discharged outside a weapon, the jacket and the core separate and go in opposite directions at the same speed.

Many people have been seriously injured playing with bullets thinking they could launch them outside a weapon by tapping the jacket, shooting it with a BB gun or throwing them. For that reason store ammunition with the same caution you would store a loaded weapon. It has an equal capacity to do harm.

Thanks, Rob. I deleted the throwing bit. I got interrupted before finishing that thought.... I am at work after all! I didn't realize I hit "post."
The reason I even bought the bullet is because the guy I bought it from isn't the type of guy who's careful with stuff. Thanks 4 the info
