How safe is Sanmaxi PC Manager? Is it safe to download?

I have no specific information about Sanmaxi PC Manager but most any software download can be either safe or unsafe depending on where it comes from. It's a fairly simple process to take a safe, original version of an install EXE and place it inside a second launcher that installs both what you want and what you don't want at the same time.

The safe way is to only download products from the original producer's site. Everything labeled "free" doesn't always turn out that way when you consider the time it takes to get rid of the problems..
