i heared the playstation network was down because of hackers and my best friends credit card info has been stolen, will I be in any trouble with the law or sony if I use my hacking skills to take back my friends credit card info and money back?

Thats like finding the burglar that stole your stuff and burglarizing his house to get it back. You can't be charged with stealing your own stuff. You might listen to the old lecture about taking the law into your own hands but no jury would convict you for that.
