I don't want to be bi but I just am. I want to be straight but I just am not. the bible says your not suppose to be, but then why did god make me this way? why?
I'm in your position as well. I want to be straight but I find guys attractive. God didn't make you like this, you are who you are. no-body made you, it's called hormones, emotions and feelings and they're perfectly natural, even if you don't think that they're not. I don't know if I have this view because I'm an Aethist. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way.
god did not make you the way you explained you made the decission to be attracted to both male and female and that can always change in the future god made you the way he thought would be right for you no one is perfect and nither am I to admit I had to be at fedural court a few years back for disterbing peoples indervidual privercy and illegal breach of security from programing a website called facematch.com which I then linked up friendster and myspace to make facebook active on the world wide web but stil you get my point you are not a bad person if you are 'bi' and like I said things change
I don't think people choose to be bi or gay any more than the rest of us choose to be hets. In fact, many lgbt people experience a great deal of added trauma trying to force themselves to be het. May I ask, why do you think it's a choice? I've been curious why some think that. I'm asking respectfully; I'm genuinely interested in understanding your point of view. Thanks.
Hi. You're the way that you are just because you are, and it's perfectly natural. There is nothing *wrong* with you. It's ok. Trying to make yourself be something other than what you think you are will cause a great deal of emotional and psychological harm.
I previously said a lot in another post that I think is applicable here: http://www.ehelp.com/questions/10442493/what-gender-am-i
By the way, there are many Christian communities who have a different understanding of the Bible and do not believe it condemns non-heterosexuality, but that a homophobic interpretation of the Bible is used for political reasons.
"Homophobic" is an unreasonable fear of homosexuality and it has nothing to do with either religion or politics. The bottom line is everybody is entitled to live whatever lifestyle they want and everybody is entitled to believe what they want. Hanging labels on people you don't agree with is just as intolerant as as being unwilling to accept the choices others make for themselves.
I disagree with your statement: "Homophobic" is an unreasonable fear of homosexuality and it has nothing to do with either religion or politics. Specifically, I strongly disagree with the "has nothing to do with either religion or politics" portion. In my opinion, a wide variety of unreasonable fears propel many--if not most--religious and political agendas to varying degrees.
I do agree that intolerance is detrimental no matter who espouses it.
