Afraid to make the first move

I have been hanging out with this girl that I like a lot lately and I feel that if I make the first move she wouldn't reject it. When I say the first move I mean something simple like putting my arm around her or something around those lines, nothing too serious just yet. The problem is that even though I don't think she will reject it im just always too afraid to try something. Even though I say I dont think she will reject it I guess there might be a fear of rejection deep down or something but I am just looking for some tips. I know it would be the right thing to make the first move but im just scared

sometimes you've just gotta risk it. fear of rejection will always be there. everyone has it. but it's better than doing nothing about it. one way for you to see it is she's probably waiting for you to make the first move.
