How can I get scratches off of my LCD PSP screen?

I purchaced a Sony PSP 3000 on Tuesday and I seemed to have put a bit of scratches on it from the following:

Cleaning the screen with toilet paper

Cleaning screen with tissues

Only when I got a proper screen cleaner and wiped smudges it was clean but scratches were revealed.
so my question is how can I get these nasty scratches off of my psp screen?

displex has a high chance of dissolving your LCD screen y don't you just send your psp back for another because you have a year warrenty and when it runs out after a year and it gets damaged again just get a new faceplate from ebay

that is true I used displex and the scratches on my screen got worse when I switch my psp on the brightness went real bright and the scratches were insanely bright and more visible it did not work btw when I went back to the shops to get a new one they happily replaced it I when from a scratched piano black psp 3002 to a mystic silver psp 3002 just today and guess what the silver one I have when I touch or hold it there are no finger prints or dust and I love this one they gave me a new 1 year warrenty starting from scratch so every time I replace it I get new psp 20% games and more and more 1 year warrentys!!!!!! ty mark I should of did this earlier but still.. NEW PSP!!!!BETTER NOW!!!
im happy for you by the way the reason why your new psp can't get smudges, dust, residue or scratches? it's because this one is made of a custom matte material it's very strong thats why it is resistand to all that kind of harm and marks but piano black is made of a shiny glossy plastic coated with thin layers of metal so its more easyto scratch and not finger print resistant but im glad my idea helped by the way have fun.
woah that is awsome thank you for the info and the help much appritiated
well there are only 3 real ways that works and 100% safe to get rid of the scratches for good until you scratch it again.

1.get another LCD and replace the original with the newer one following instructions the screen comes with or if you all ready know how.

2.buy a solution called displex from ebay for 2 dollers or a pack for 4.95 the solution was originaly designed for the repair of psp or LCD tv only but it some time works with phones.

3.you could go back where you got it and ask for a refund just say the scratches where already there and replace it for a new one.

ok now if you are going to use displex I will give you the full instructions because I have this product and it works like a charm

things you need.
x1 displex scratch remover solution
x3 screen cleaners
x1 scotch tape roll (it has the blade at the end to remove the tape)
x2 A4 paper
x1 pair of scissors

step 1.

place psp 3000 on a A4 paper and lay it on a table

step 2.

use a proper cleaning cloth to wipe screen clean of any dust or residue and finger print/smudges.

step 3.

using the second A4 paper cut a rectangular hole in the cener paper the same size as the psp screen then place the paper on the psp and tape paper down on table so its not wobbly. this should cover the psp from getting wet or dust leaving only the psp LCD screen exposed.

step 4.

where you can see a scratch (does not matter if it's not deep at all) put 2 drops of displex where you can see a scratch.

step 5.

let it settle for 5 seconds

step 6.

get your screen cleaner (cleaning cloth) and wipe the screen in a circular motion for 5 minutes (this also helps dry the screen)

step 7.

after 5 minutes repeat step 6 except wipe the screen in a circular motion in the opisite direction for 5 minutes more (if you were wiping in circular motion going right do the same except left direction)

8.

in total you should have wiped the screen with the displex on for a good 10 minutes

step 9.

now that the scratches are removed use another screen cleaner to give it a final wipe just to tidy up any finger prints or left over displex

step 10.

you can now remove the tape from paper and table holding psp down and let your psp settle for a good 20-30 minutes (30 minutes recomended) (it dose not matter if a bit of dust gets on the screen wile the settle

final step.

after 20-30 if you want to using a clean screen cleaner wipe off any dust that got on the screen while the settle and you are free to use your psp scratch free with that new shiney finnish

note: the effect only removes scratches and leaves screen with shiney finnish you do not have to worry about it glareing while psp is on there is no change with the glare there will still be no glare while psp is on.
