How to get rid of Cisco Guest Password on laptop

I bought a laptop from a friend and I can not access internet yet, as it keeps opening a Cisco guest signon. I need to get rid of this. I do not know the password and I went onto Cisco webpage and it appears there are several sign-on passwords and nothing works. I am not even using as wireless. Can you help? Thanks LeAnn

In your browser address bar type 192.168.1.1

That should call up the applet with the modem setup. If it asks for an user ID and password, try 'admin' for both. If they don't work, the person that sold it to you should supply you with the correct entries.
