no your psp is not fake the when psp 3000 was released 3000 was the only version they had until they upgraded the psp 3000 to two different version the psp 3002 and the psp 3003 so what it means the psp 3002 is the newest release from the sony psp 3000 inface you have the latest/ the best psp 3000 ever released and if you look in you blue sony psp manuel you will see on the first page it has a picture of you psp model then a picture of 2 types of charges the newest psp 3002 has a ac adaptor and a psp plug in to plug into the ac adaptor which then is plugged into the psp and the psp 300 and the psp 3003 has the full charger with a chubby end where you plug it in the power board so basicly ur psp is the best psp 3000 and it is not fake if you go back to the store u got it from or better yet go to ebgames to see if its fake they will even tell you its no fake and that is 100% real and the people that say its fake either never had or heard of psp or heard of psp 1000 (fat) but no other or never at all so I will say it again your psp is real it is the best and you have nothing to worry about unless it does not say sony on it or dosen't say playstation (triangle)(circle)(x)(square)","PSP" and "UMD" are registered traademarks of sony computer entertainment Inc. on the back of the box then its real so if it does say that its real :) hope this helps
