Is there a music producer in new mexico or texas that can look at my lyrics.

Hi my name is jessica mccombs and I write my own songs and just dont know how to put music to them. I am a senior in high school and graduate in may from portales high school in new mexico. I am 18 and I have been writing lyrics for about 6 years. ever since I started to write I have dreamed of being a music artist and I know it is a tuff feild but I am willing to take that risk.i am also a singer(soprano) but I can also sing alto. the people who taught me to sing is of course God and also franklin smith. about two years ago he won the golden apple award. I really need help!!!! is anyone out there???

There are many talented misicians who do an excellent job at copying the work of others but the big challenge in the music industry is producing original material. If you have the ability to do that, you have a much better chance of making your dream come true.

My advice would be to learn the music side also so you don't have to depend on someone else. If you're unable to find a local musician to work with you, there is music composition software available that uses MIDI files to compose chord progressions. If you put the work into learning, you can produce some really neat stuff with them.

You compose the background music, record your lyrics to it and create demo files for distribution to artists looking for new material. If you have the talent, send them to producers that might consider launching your own career in the music business.
