Playing audio loud can be a sign of a hearing problem. Putting headsets on the person with the problem might help so the volume can be turned down .

Hearing loss isn't just that you don't hear the sound. To clearly understand spoken voices, you have to be able to hear over a wide frequency range. Vowel sounds made without the tongue are low pitch while consonants made by touching the tongue inside your mouth make high pitch sounds. In those situations, a person with that kind of deafness can hear sound but can't understand what's being said because they're only hearing part of it. Putting an equalizer on the sound to be able to adjust the sound levels to the fit their hearing will make it clearer to a person with that kind of deafness. It's also important to understand that people with that kind of deafness most often got it from being exposed to loud sound.

The TV also makes a difference. The greater the signal-to-noise ratio of the TV the clearer the sound will be.

The first step is to determine what the problem is. If it is a hearing problem, either headsets or an equalizer will help. If not, educating everybody to the fact that loud sound is destructive to your hearing might help convince them to simply turn the volume down.
