My engine check light came on in my y11 nissan wingroad and the vehicle began to stall,

i switched off the vehicle and restarted and the check light came off and the vehicle worked fine after that, what could possible cause this to happen??

In many vehicles, the check light comes on when the engine stalls. If it went out when restarted, that may be the case.
