How old should u be befor let to go swimming on your own

hi my mother wont let me anywhere on my own specially not swimming what do I do

I was allowed to go swimming on my own when I learned to swim properly and my mum and dad knew that I would get right back out if there was a problem, try to show your parents that you are grown up and trustworthy they might just loosen the hold a little ;)

I agree with everything Sexy2011 said and would add that it makes a difference whether you're swimming where there's a life guard and whether you have someone with you. Even with a lifeguard, on a beach with a lot of people you can be missed, take a friend so there's someone to yell for help if you get into trouble. The best swimmers can have problems in a heavy undertow or if they get cramps.

Never swim alone where's there's no lifeguard.
