Why did she lead me on?

ok its a long story but i'll try to make it short.
ok im bi, im 15 and my friend shes 18 about 4 months ago she asked me if I liked her and I said yes I asked her if she liked me and she avoided me for a while, then I asked her in person and she said yes, we would stay after school to hang out for a bit cuz if our parents found out they would kill us, on janurary 28 she told me she couldnt do it anymore talk to me or hang out with me anymore, then that same day she tried to get me to kiss her which I didnt cuz I was confused, on feburary 3 we had our first kiss which I was nervous cuz it was my first kiss, on feburay 11 was her birthday I got to tell her happy birthday but since she was turning 18 we didnt get to hang out, on feburary 14 valentines day I got her a chocolate rose and a bunch of candy, and that was it we couldnt hang out that day either, on feburary 26 I was txtin her and she came out saying I love this other guy sorry, I love her when she told me that I was at boxing practice and I broke my hand from punching the metal pole, my question is y did she lead me on if she new she loved another guy she could have saved me the pain of falling 4 her and then her braking my heart. sorry its a long story.

I think I kinda get it now you know all those days she couldn't hang out with you she was probably hanging out with him , maybe she has forgotten to tell you or something that's why she told you kinda late..

I think curls may have a point. She may have been with him however she may have lead you on in an attempt to make you feel better or soften the blow, as she maybe knew that you liked her.
