Is it a problem if you always make the first move?

There is a girl I really like and I can't tell if she likes me back. She is not at a stage where she would admit it yet because she actually is my ex-girlfriend and probably doesn't want to have the relationship messed up again. We have dealt with things that have caused the other relationship to fail and I feel like we are at a stage to start over again. The questioni have is that is it bad that I always have to make the first move? Whether it is through Texting or facebook or even talking in person I almost always have to start it up or nothing will happen. Usually this would be a sign to back off of the girl because she probably doesn't like you but the thing is after I make the first move we sometimes end up talking for hours. So is it bad that I always have to start it up? Personally it bothers me because I sort of view it as she wasnt thinking of me at all but maybe she is just shy or something

Have you considered the possibility that she may have higher priorities and considers spending hours texting and talking a waste of time? Some people realize there is very little you can say on Facebook or the telephone that will make any difference in your life five years from now but whether or not you do your school work can make a huge difference.

It might mean they are just shy be accommodating
