Internal are reports for the business to use internal, like accounting reports.
Turnaround reports are stuff sent out which are completed and returned, like stuff you send a customer, they fill out and send back (think invoice or order) which you then input. External outputs are stuff that are sent to the customer that conclude the transaction (think receipts).
