Camstudio freezes when video is stopped :c

Hi, I've been making a picture in Photoshop today and been using Camstudio to try and record it. Unfortunately, large portions of it are missing (I recorded it in parts) because half the time, when I hit "Stop" when recording on camstudio, the program stops responding! And if it gets going again, the "ask for filename" dialog never shows up. I chacked in my camstudio folder but no videos to be found... I have two parts I was able to sucessfully record, but most of the painting's process videos were corrupted. Halp

EDIT:

No, I was taking a video of my work process, so basically I could show people what was going on on my screen as I constructed the picture. Some call it a "speedpaint video".

I'll check on my memory. However, I had actually just installed Camstudio that morning, does it come with the codec built in? If not, where can I get it?

The codec is on the download page immediately below the Program download:

I'm not clear on what you're trying to do. Are you are working with a still picture or a video? If it's a still picture, why not just do "Save As" out of Photoshop and save it as a JPG file?

If it is a video, it could be your machine has limited memory or is running out of disk space. I'd check to make sure. If you are running an older version of CamStudio, install the latest version plus the lossless codec and try again.
