Power of Attorney allows one person to have control over the affairs of another LIVING person. Once they die, control is passed to their will. In the absence of a will, the property is divided according to the laws of where your parents lived.

Do you happen to know where I can get a copy of that law so I can get it?
From the link at the bottom:

"On the other hand, modern state laws did not eliminate the rule on death voiding a power of attorney. As soon as the agent knows the principal has died, the power of attorney is void."
