Some of the most challenging areas of developing computer software are decisions on what jobs to assign to the machine and what is best left to humans.
One that comes to mind is trying to use the Internet to sell decorator items like fabric and carpet. Even with millions of colors available to drive the monitor, photography is unable to accurately reproduce the color and texture well enough for a client to confidently buy them online. They have to feel them.
If you can develop a computer monitor that can be programmed to make the front surface fuzzy so the user can both see and feel it, you'd have something to sell. We may have to leave that idea for future generations to work on though. :-)
