Cant find a matching category

I have a Famiily tree Maker 2005. It was originally installed on a compaq desktop. This computer crashed and an E-Machine computer was purchased but I did not install my familytreemaker 2005. The E-machiine mother board burned out and I purchased an HP Pavallion Slimline with windows 7 preinstalled. It is a 64 bit machine not 32 as the others were. I am trying now to install my Family TreeMaker 2005 from the original disc. It will install, but it does not work. I get a faint pictire of the family page but that is it. Nothin else works. I have a free program from familysearch, but familytree has other features that I would like to have.

I don't have that software so this hasn't been tested but I would advise setting the combatability mode for the Family Tree software to the seme operating system that ran on the Compaq.

To configure the compatibility mode for an application, just locate the installation directory (Probably in C:\Program Files\FamilyTreeMaker) and right click on the .exe, selecting Properties from the menu. Click on the tab at the top labeled "Compatability." Enable the drop-down box and select the operating system.
