The odds don't change with time. It is possible that you might not know at this point but at 10-12 weeks you should. The doctor can tell by your body chemestry if the egg has implanted outside the womb. To set your mind at ease though, ask your doctor to have an ultrasound done as early as possible.
Thanks for answering. I've been obsessing over this because this baby something I really and I keep thinking of the worst possible outcomes. I read that the chance of miscarriage goes down the further along you get, so I was wondering if it was the same with ectopics. It's my first pregnancy and my appt. isn't until the 19th so I guess I'll just have to play the waiting game and try to think positive thoughts! I guess if it ends up being ectopic, it wont change the fact whether I find out now or in 3 weeks!
I don't read anything in what you've written that would give me cause to worry and the odds are surely on your side. You sound like you really want the baby and feeling wanted is the best feeling a child can have. Hang in there, "mom," I'm sure you will do fine.
