What to do if you drop your cell phone in water?

completely disemble the phone ( batter, sim card ect.) and put it into a bolw of dry rice for 1-3 days. Because rice absorbs water well, it's better than just leaving it to dry alone, when it could cause some damage because the water wasn't removed quick enough:)
if that doesn't work, you'll probably need a new phone:L

I once dropped my phone into a hot cup of tea. This is exactly what I immediately did, and the phone survived. I also did something similar for a glass of liquid spilled onto a laptop. (Now I'm MUCH more careful with liquids near my devices. lol)
Remove the cover and disconnect the battery and let it dry out. When you're sure it is completly dry, put the battery back in and try it. If it works, go buy a lottery ticket. It's your lucky day. :-)
