How do I get nail polish off my retainer?

nail polish spilt on the front part of my retainer. its clear nail polish. and its not a ton but still I dont want it ruined. and I dont wana put nail polish remover on it cause thats not safe to put in my mouth. please help. also the nail polish is dried up. been there for two days I think.

If you can remove the "retainer," take it out, clean it with nail polish remover then wash it good with dishwashing detergent and hot water followed by a good rinse.

If it can't be removed then I'd leave it alone until it can be removed and cleaned.
