My cable tv and garage door opener were out, then worked again the same day - any connection?

Early this week my cable tv went out (I could get the guide on the bottom of the screen but no video or audio input). The same day, my garage door wouldn't go down unless you held the button (inside the garage) the entire time the door went down. Today it's four days later the cable miraculously came back on, and the garage door works fine. Could there be a reason both broke, the were fixed, at the same time?

If they're both controlled by remote devices there may be a connection. A lot of devices like that have options for changing the frequency to avoid conflicts. Look at the setup indtructions that came with them to see if you can change one of them to a different frequency.
