I'm going to New York this winter, and I've already book the tickets of "Phantom of the Opera". What should I wear? It's cold in NY right now, and I don't want to wear just dress with an out-coat.

The Phantom of the Opera is more of a musical than an opera that would attract more formal dress. The colder it is, the more everybody will dress for comfort rather than looks. Just wear clothing that looks dressy and fits the weather conditions.
