What do I do with 5,000 red wiggleys worms,for my new garden,with new compose pile with peat moss

i need to in rich my soil in my new garden,the natural way,red wiggleys worms,the worm man told me to us peat moss for the worms to bed down,i need a compose pile for rich dirt,i thought you could plant the worms in the ground,to m,ake rich soil,but he said they need to bed down on peat moss around the out side and put scraps in the middle.so the worms can eat the scrapes.how do I keep from killing the worms? thanks Howard.

It sounds to me like the purpose of the peat moss is to keep from killing the worms. It will take time for the scraps to bio-degrade so the worms need a place to live in the meantime.

If his system produced 5,000 worms, I'd listen to the worm man.

thanks for your comment,IAM GOING TO BUY THE WORMS FROM THE WORM MAN.I NEED THE BEST COMPOST BOX FOR A LARGE GARDEN,HOW TO BUILD ONE IN DETAIL,THANKS,HOWARD.
The key to a compost box is to keep the material wet and air tight. For an experiment, put some leaves in a garbage bag, soak them with water and seal the bag. In 3-4 months you have black dirt.
