I have 2 bathtub faucet leaks that started within a week of each other. why?

I have 2 bathtub faucets that started leaking within a week of each other. I had the first one fixed and it was a bad valve. I haven't gotten into this one yet, but I just thought it was strange that both of them started leaking so close together. Is there anything that can be causing this to happen?

That is unusual. My guess would be that they were made at the same time from the same batch of materials and have been exposed to the same things. It will be interesting to see if the same part failed in exactly the same way allthough there's not much to a faucet other than the valve.

If they are the older type with a worn out rubber washer, I'd think that it's just a coincidence. If they're the newer models, you might want to contact the manufacturer and get their take on it.
