they don't hurt, unless they aren't cleaned properly and there is dust on them. when you get them you will be taught to put them on by the eye doctor, but for the first couple weeks it will be pretty hard. the dr. will also show you how to take them off. I like them so much better than my glasses, cuz when it rain you can see, and i'm not so paranoid in pe and stuff. there are different kinds of contacts tho, idk what kind you need. I have ones that I use for a month and then throw away, some ppl use new ones every day, and my bro uses contacts only at night and it reshapes his eye while he's sleeping so he can see during the day. hope that helped
