Justice against a peado

im 22 and when I was 14 I had a rns with a 28 year old when I was 14 Him and his mate made a bet to see who could have sex with me first I thought I was in love with him at the time I obvouisly had sex with him and as soon as I turned 16 he left me I know it is wrong but all I want to know is can I still go to court and get him arrested im now 22 and realised that hes needs to be in jail, can I still get him put n jail because I would hate this to happen to some one else when your young you dont realise but when your older you know what he did was wrong for me it was to late but is it to late or what can I go in court nand get this sick bastard put down or canit not be proved because im older now

Its been 6 years since you broke up, right? It depends on the state you live in as far as the statute of limitations on statutory rape and the age of consent (but I assume 14 is underage in just about every state.

My advice: Leave it alone. You were with him for two years, right? He's going to say that you were willing and are just mad he left you (which is what it sounds like to me). It will turn into a big "he said, she said" type thing in court and in public. You need to ask yourself if you really want to go through all that.

The answer above is totally incorrect. For a statutatory rape charge, consent has nothing to do with it. In fact, the purpose of statutatory rape laws is because children aren't considered capable of making a decision for sexual consent.

As far as the statute of limitations, they've prosecuted Catholic priests for pedophelia that happened far more than 8 years ago.

Have this discussion with the police or prosecutor in your area to get an accurate evaluation.
