Don't know about you but that always happens to me when I get a lot of stress and no exercise. Try going for a jog before bedtime.

true. that normally works since I run about 3 miles a day
You are stressed. Stress comes from being in a position/place/role/occupation that is not ideal for you. Perhaps this degree is not the one that suits you or perhaps you already have the means to earn a good income without necessarily having to go through the rigors of tertiary academia. I am not insisting you drop out or anything but you must evaluate if this degree is right for you. There are many ways of doing the same thing. Some people study and work. Others start a business and do better in less time. That is only possible if there are opportunities and you are ready for those. Academics are quite stressful these days with too much to learn and then realize a lot it was not relevant. Is this a course that requires constant study? Get to the core of the problem, the symptomatic approach will only work to a certain point. Keep me posted on how it goes. I would like to help you out in more detail if you need it. When we are in college, we don't ask if this will get us anywhere except a job and if any degree will get us a job then is it worth it to get a degree that involves so much hard work. But that is when those questions must be asked.

I think part of the reason that I have been incredibly stressed is because I took 18 credit hours instead of the recommend 15. I am also taking calculus, C++ programming, discrete mathematics, writing 1, and I'm getting a minor in the german language. I agree that it is stress. I just made made the mistake of taking too many classes during my first semester of freshman year.
Thanks though.
maybe drink tea 1/2 an hour b4 bed? or make a playlist of peaceful music and listen to that. thats normally what I do when I can't sleep
