Should I buy cooked shrimp or raw shrimp, which is healthier?

Asked Sep 28, 2010
If you buy raw shrimp you still have to cook or steam them in some way to avoid salmonella. Shrimp constitutes 58% of salmonella violations according to the US Food and Drug Administration. When you consider that, unquestionably cooked shrimp is healthier.

I once did consider the same thing when making my pizza at home by following the apknite cooking app. From what I see, raw shrimp seems fresher but cooked shrimp seems to keep more of nutrients since it cooked right away. It depends a lot on the dish you make too. If you don't want the taste of cooked shrimp to affect your dish, try the raw one. If the taste of cook shrimp does not affect the dish, try cooked one though.
