Need financial help with college?

I've just graduated High School, and have goals to eventually go to college. I've first applied to the US Coast Guard for two years, because I need extra money and help from the USCG to go to my desired college. I have some money, and my parents have some money, to help pay with my college, but it's not enough. The college I wish to attend is fairly expensive, (Well, extremely. It's around 50,000 a year, including all room, board, and meal plans.) and I am willing to look at other colleges if this is just too much, but I've always had my heart set on this school. My question is, am I overlooking any ways to get college help? Does anyone know how much the USCG assists with college finances after I end my term? Thank you for any help whatsoever, please give any ideas I've overlooked! Thank you!

You may be overlooking a few things. Contact the college and ask for a financial aid package. You and your parents will have to fill out the FAFSA forms required by the US Dept of Education. Depending on your and your parents ability to pay, they will give you the numbers and your options for loans and grants.
