I have a wireless mouse. I can move the curser but if I left click on a button I get no response.
If the cursor is working, that says the communications link between the mouse and the box is OK. Sounds like the problem might be the switch on the mouse. If the right click button works also, that's another vote for that theory.
Remove the battery from the mouse and see if there's any way that you can clean the switch contacts with alcohol and a cotton swab. Give it 30 minutes to dry before putting the battery back in.
