What program shows .swf files

I have recorded *.swf files and sent them via e-mail to computers with Flash and they have not been able to play. What am I doing wrong?

SWF technology is an Adobe product. They offer Flashplayer 10 at this link (the download link is at the bottom left of the web page):

I don't understand, "have not been able to play." What happens when they try? Do they get an error message? If so what does it say?

I would put one of your files on a memory stick or a CD and take it to another machine, make sure flashplayer is installed correctly and see what happens. If you have a SWF file created a different way that yours, try it also. That will tell you whether the problem is with the way they're being made or with the players on the other end.
