If your relationship is so fragile that an innocent hug makes either of you "crazy," it's time to make some kind of adjustment.
Considerations that may or may not apply:
If moving on to Mr. Hugg is intended as retaliation, that's a bad choice and if you find anything exciting in your boyfriend's anger, that's something you need to correct before it becomes an abusive relationship. The idea that his anger shows how much he cares for you is a false notion. His anger only demonstrates his insecurity.
My suggestion would be to get away from both your boyfriend and Mr. Hugg. Often a rest on the sidelines will give you a better perspective on how to play the game.
