Whats the powers of search of a security officer?

There are a lot of variables that make it difficult to make one list.

It depends on the law in the state where the search takes place, in some states, whether the officer is a sworn conservator of the peace and whether he/she has "probable cause" to believe a crime was being committed or was about to be comitted. Probable Cause is defined as enough evidence to convince a reasonable person.

There are also security requirements where you must consent to a search in order to gain access such as boarding an aircraft.
