Observation is the result of observing. In it's basic meaning it's watching with the intent of learning from what you see. It also can mean the results af data collected for a particular event like, "The humidity observations for yesterday were..."

In relation to child or early childhood services, it would be what was, or could be, learned from observing the service or from data collected in the process.
