What are the EHelp rules?

Is it abuse to promote web sites and products for sale on this site?

Is it abuse to post email addresses for users to contact you?

well the whole abuse thing is to report something that you think needs to be removed. if ryan, the owner, decides it should be removed he will and deduct 20 rep points.

to answer your question yes to both.
ryan can get into trouble for people posting personal info and this site shouldnt be a place for people to advertise.

A user named MFarinas put up 35 cut and paste answers to ancient questions this afternoon, some with links to products he's selling and some with his email for people to contact him. No reflection on him personally but with the many very young people using this site, that's a very risky thing to allow.

yeah I sent ryan a message about it and told him what was happening. it should be taken care of in a bit.
Thanx

its no problem. he was beginning to annoy me anyway
its taken care of. MFarinas's account has been deleted along with all of his posts

I hate to say it, but I think there should be a rule on ehelp about answering too many questions. Please, let me explain...

I have been reading a few posts, starting with one that I googled about 'why do men hate women' and I came upon a question in ehelp that startled me. Actually, it more or less scared the crap out of me because of so much hostility and ignorance that spewed from the mindless responders. If you are interested in such vile hatred:
http://www.ehelp.com/questions/10434607/why-do-i-hate-women

I digress, what I was about to say was that when I was reading the answers - and much like a trainwreck, I could not turn away - I did find some that seemed sensitive and subjective that actually made me feel better about humanity. One of those responders was Rob. Funny thing is, I didn't notice that at the time.
I then continued to get sidetracked with all the other queries out there luring me in and started noticing that you, Rob, are quite prevalent in this forum, among a varied spectrum of questions. I mean, almost every post/question I read - and some I even gave answers to - you were answering as well. Don't get me wrong here, this is not a territorial thing, but I am just surprised at how many posts you have responded to. I actually looked up how many and it's an impressive amount... Over 1300 and in only six months or so, really?

Again, I hate to say it, but doesn't the idea of answering such an astounding amount almost qualify you as an ehelp stalker? Not only that, but doesn't it seem that if you have so much to say about so many things, wouldn't that diminish the value of each response that you give? Sort of like if everything you write is meaningful, and special, than none of it is special.

I hope you don't take me as mean or rude in some way by writing this, I was just so compelled to express my opinion about rules that should be, even though those rules may not seem fair.

I have to mention though that I have noticed a few other people that are also all over the place with comments and answers, so you may not be the only one that has a thousand plus responses, you are just the one asking the question I found I had to answer.
