What are the advantages of using computer for weather forecast as compared to the manual system?

Asked Jul 18, 2010
Theoretically any data operation you can do with a computer, you can do manually. The difference is speed and manpower. A computer can flawlessly digest enormous amounts of data and display it in a fraction of a second. To do the same thing manually would take a building full of people and todays weather forecast wouldn't be available for years.
