Do braces suck? - eHelp.com

My dad forced me into getting braces, I only have the side ones on right now but im getting the FULL SET on, on monday. Do they hurt? what am I going to do? what CANT I eat? :(

P.S. I miss my old teeth :( There was nothing wrong with them.

well for me I don't have braces but my sister had her done and she said it did not hurt so bad but after she got them she missed having her old teeth too. idk what u can eat all I know is that u can't eat that much candy and yea that is all I know about but I hope u do well and get throw it and good luck and don't be scared it will be fine :)

1. Some young people have dads that don't want their kids going through life with crooked teeth.

2. Some young people have dads that would like to provide their kids with braces but can't afford the very high cost.

3. Some young people don't have dads.

1. My dads not paying for it, his work is covering ALL of it. lol. He just wants me to be perfect.

2. That is true but the government or work can help cover the costing.

3. My dad disowned me, my mom finally told him he has to AT LEAST help me with my dental care, and this is what I got.

It may be my stupidity but I find it hard to understand how a dad that has disowned you would "force you" to get braces and "want you to be perfect."

The government doesn't provide braces for anybody and dental insurance is paid through an employment contract, it's not free, it's part of his payroll package. Very few employees have that benefit

I agree with you that it should be your choice on whether you would rather have crooked teeth than wear braces but sorry, I just don't see how you're the victim you're making yourself out to be.

yes braces....suck..ccccant eat popcorn,caramel,nuts,NOTHING..just drink freaking liquids and sleep..damn

they hurt a bit after they are put on and when they are tightened, but they soon dont hurt. you cant have fizzy drinks often and no chewy sweets. they akso take ten minutes to clean. so yes,they suck.
