Protein is good for you as long as you do enough exercise to burn it off. Otherwise you're just adding more calories. Without any knowledge of the specific product you're using, soy protein sounds better to me than egg simply because of the cholesterol content in eggs. You may not be old enough for that to make a difference but look at the labels for fat and cholesterol and compare the numbers to other products. If you can get the protein without the fats, that's better.
If you are working out to participate in athletics, ask the coach or trainer. In addition to tuning your program, it tells him/her you are interested and trying to become a starter. Either way, you're on the right track.
