How do you unfreeze a water line in a refridgerator?

Asked Jul 04, 2010
Get a bag of ice and put it an large insulated box like the styrofoam picnic boxes. Put the contents of the refrigerator in the box with the ice and close it. Leave the freezer door closed.

Pull the power plug on the refrigerator and blow on the water line with a hair dryer.

Make sure there is no water on the floor and don't let the dryer or the chord come in contact with water to prevent electrical shock.

I wanted to personally thank you for saving me about $280. My
refrigerator repairman, whom I trust, was going to charge me $295 to add a
heating element inside the door panel to melt the frozen line. He was convinced
that there was no other remedy. I searched online and found your site within a
couple of minutes. For under $15 and in under 5 minutes, Ice surrender took
care of it. UNBELEIVEABLE! Something so simple and easy. So happy you thought
of it. I wish you continued success.
