It would help if we know where you're located. With a specialized education like yours, you have to be located where there is a demand for your skills.

While being unemployed is certainly depressing, you have to sound positive and upbeat at job interviews. Employers are looking for winners and they have a lot of candidates to choose from in today's job market. Concentrate your presentation on what you can do for them, not how long you've been looking and how bad you need the job.
