What is the name of the following

I did a science study with my daughter years ago. it was a trashcan, banana peels, newspapers and we left it in the garage and mice formed. I can not remember the name of this spontaneous phenonom. HELP

I would call it "Hungry Mouse Smells Banana Peel" unless there was a cupon for free cheese in the newspaper that day. :-)
