How do you get mildew smell out of bath towels?

My bath towels were left in the washing machine too long and began to mildew. No matter how many times I wash them, they don't smell fresh. Is there something that will take the mildew out of them?

Or just qo and buy new towels....
ORRR try a new soap, wash them at least 2 times.... DONT let them stay in the washer.... All of them worked for me.!! :D

If they are light colors or you don't care if the color lightens up, add bleach to the water. Clorox kills mold and mildew quickly.

Add the bleach to the machine and let it run a few minutes before putting in the towels to make sure any color change is uniform.
